About Hooha Print E-mail

Hooha.Asia is a sports portal that connects you with other sports fans around Asia.

How do you connect with each other?

You connect through expressing your excitement, your opinions, views, pain, frustration, controversies and inspiration shared with other sports fans around Asia through forums and blogs.

You connect through the latest sports results and news of the highest profile and popularity.

You connect through the latest sports content that focuses on local sporting events, sportswomen and sportsmen, and sports authorities.

You connect by participating in the events (domestic and international) that are listed in sports event listing.

Hooha.Asia is created to solve the current pain of sports fans all over Asia that feel there is not enough said, discussed and done about sports and its fans.

It is obvious that sports is growing very quickly in Asia. There are more F1s than any other continent to quote an example. Sports information is getting better organized and the sporting events coverage is getting superb. More and more websites and TV channels are concentrating on sports news and happenings that are taking place all around the world.

But at Hooha.Asia we ask this question everyday “What about the voice of the sports fans of Asia?

What about your views, opinions, thoughts, feelings and spirit about what is happening locally in your own country? What about your own local star sports personalities that you admire? How long more are they to be overshadowed by sports personalities outside Asia?

For how long more do we Asians lag behind in sports development, sports performance, sports information and sports pride?

China in the 2008 Olympics, with home ground advantage, topped the medal tally. The rest of the table was dominated by the United States and Europe. If sports matters in Asia remains status quo, Hooha.Asia believes either United States or another European nation will dominate the next Olympics.

Why is sports is so important to us? Why are we, in Asia, so passionate about sports? Why we are more passionate about the teams in the English Premier League than the English themselves. Why?

Why do we keep awake all night watching Tiger Woods (who is half Asian of Thai descent), the world’s best golfer, live on TV and still manage to go to work next day?

Why do we week in week out experience the Thrill of Victory and the Agony of Defeat?

Because sports represents the very human emotion of passion and the attitude of loyalty that we grow up with in Asia. From young we grow to be very passionate about and remain loyal to our family and friends. From very young age our Asian parents show, guide and tell us that the way out of our challenges and struggles is by achieving our dreams and goals. Sports inspires us to achieve greatness every time we breathe. Sports empowers us to celebrate our human spirit.

And yet with all this passion, loyalty and inspiration to achieve, we as Asians are still behind the rest of the world.

Therefore, let us unite as one powerful force; let us become the change agent from within ourselves to place our countries on the world map of sports. Let you and I and every other Asian collectively connect with each other to raise Asia above all others.

Hooha.Asia brings the feeling, sensation, life, spirit and the essence of you the passionate sports fan of Asia to the forefront of the sporting world thru the internet.

Hooha.Asia does this by providing up to date Asian focused sports content and services for your knowledge, experience and use.

You have the power to EXPRESS YOUR EXCITEMENT at Hooha.Asia, Home of the Asian Sports Fan, and Soul of the Asian Sports Pride.

Hooha.Asia: POWERING YOU TO CONNECT AND EXPRESS YOUR EXCITEMENT.
